Warrenton is full of enthusiastic and ambitious businessmen and women who are putting tons of jobs into the local economy. For example, the Hardware Cafe is a general store and cafe that serves up ice cream and smoothies and aims to be a place where people connect. This historic shop used to be a hardware store, showing exactly the type of vibe you will get from smalltown and historically-focused Warrenton.

The residents here are involved in their local government, which is extremely well-received, and enjoy viewing the local historical sights the area has to offer. Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Warrenton has excellent ‘taste’ and much to offer foodies. Robinson Ferry Restaurant, a purveyor of fine American dining fare, has a small-town, “everybody’s welcome” sort of feel to it. Co-owner and executive chef, Ryan Grimm, aims to make sure that Robinson is the heart and soul of Warrenton. Robinson has southern classics like steaks, burgers, and fried green tomatoes - as well as modern fare like seared ahi tuna – plus an incredible, modern bar top that is the perfect place to sit and engage with your neighbors!

On the more playful side of things, you’ll find Chilly Chicken Creamery - a passionate ice cream shop with “made from scratch” ice cream made using locally sourced dairy products. Chilly has 16 delicious homemade flavors that you and your loved ones will thoroughly enjoy! Who doesn’t crave an ice-cold beer on a hot summer day? Once you’re finished giving Chilly Chicken Creamery a try, we recommend heading over to the Mill Hill Taproom, a brewery and taproom that serves up local brews and good vibes. You may even find yourself so lucky as to be there on taco truck or BBQ day!

Things to Do

While you’re at Mill Hill Taproom, you may want to stick around for “Yoga on Tap.” This one-hour-long event features a yoga session and a beer! Stick with the healthy vibes and head out for a Warrenton historic walking tour - featuring the Jacob Holt House, Reedy Rill, and the Warrenton Town Clock. If historic vibes are your thing, Oakley hall antiques and art is the perfect afternoon activity. Who doesn’t love checking out antiques and local art in one great location?

Warrenton residents enjoy one of the area’s “best fresh secrets,” the Warren County Farmers’ Market. This market has a wonderful selection of delicious, healthy, and fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs, eggs, meats, seafood, jams, jellies, baked goods, flowers, and plants. Purchase locally made crafts and birdhouses for your residence, and you’ll get to enjoy the thrills of bird-watching all year round!
